The Asian Games announced that it has signed China Southern Power Grid (CSG) as a partner for the 2010 Games in Guangzhou.
CSG will be a ‘Prestige Partner’ of the Games and provide stable electricity supplies and green power services for the Games. China Mobile joined as an elite level sponsor of these Games last May.
Formed in 2002, CSG is one of two state-owned power grid companies in China, investing, constructing and operating transmission and distribution networks in Guangdong, Guangxi, Guizhou and Hainan provinces and regions.
CSG’s revenue for the first-half of 2008 was $19 billion with total assets worth $50 billion by the end of August 2008.
The 16th Asian Games will be held in Guangzhou from 12 – 27 November 2010. More than 12,000 athletes from 45 countries and regions will compete in 42 sports.
