International broadcaster Eurosport has renewed its deal for the media rights for the Vuelta, Spain’s top road cycle race, for three years.
The new deal covers the 2009, 2010, and 2011 events. Eurosport will show live coverage of the race on Eurosport and Eurosport Asia-Pacific.
The rights add to Eurosport’s extensive portfolio of cycling coverage, which includes the three major tours – the Tour de France, the Giro d’Italia, and the Vuelta – and the UCI Road and Track World Championships (two events), among others.
