Football’s world governing body stayed 13 per cent under-budget and did not lose any money on its assets to record a $184 million profit in 2008.

The Associated Press reports that the body’s revenues were $957 million, mostly from television and marketing deals for the 2010 World Cup.

Fifa’s expenses were $773 million. Its assets are listed as being worth around $1.6 billion.
