Infront Sports & Media and catering firm Kofler & Kompanie have agreed a new deal to work together in the hospitality business.
Kofler & Kompanie is acquiring a majority a stake Austria-based Infront Hospitality Management GmbH – formerly Walch’s Event Hospitality. In a press release, the two partners said their objective is to position Infront Hospitality as the leading provider in hospitality and catering for sports events. They said the unit would have the capacity to organise hospitality in any part of the world.
Kofler & Kompanie specialises in high-end hospitality – its work has included the state banquet for the Queen of England’s visit to Germany, the birthday party of the former German Chancellor Dr. Helmut Kohl, being one of four official catering contractors for the 2006 World Cup, including looking after 32,000 VIP guests at six
matches in Berlin, and catering for 10,000 guests at the World Cup final.
