North American sports broadcasters Setanta Sports and Fox Sports International acquired the media rights in the US for the Uefa Champions League.
The agreement covers the 2009-10, 2010-11 and 2011-12 seasons and will see Setanta and Fox broadcast up to 110 matches each on their television channels. The deal also includes rights for the annual Uefa Super Cup match, held each August in Monaco; Champions League preview and review programmes; archive matches and magazine programmes.
The TEAM Marketing agency sells the rights on behalf of Uefa, the Champions League and Super Cup rights owner.
