Liverpool FC extended its sponsorship deal with the Bank of America in a four-year, £5 million deal according to commercial director Ian Ayre.
Under the terms of the deal, the American bank can use the club’s logo in its branding and gets access to corporate seats at Anfield stadium.
Bank of America is the parent company of the Chester-based credit card firm MBNA who supply credit cards to Liverpool fans.
It is believed that three other sponsorship deals may be announced soon as the club is in discussion with companies in the consumer electronics, gaming and automotive sectors.
Ayre also revealed that Liverpool will play in Singapore, Bangkok and Hong Kong at the end of the season.
“If you are going to build a business overseas a key part is to allow people to touch and feel the product on a regular basis,” Ayre told Bloomberg.
“What is clear is that there is an opportunity for Liverpool to do much better than they had in the past.”
