Pan-European broadcaster, the Eurosport group acquired the live broadcast rights for three major 2009 Ice Hockey World Championships from the sport's governing body, the IIHF.
Under the deal, which includes the the World U20 Championship, the World Women's Championships and the World U18 Championship, Eurosport also acquired the rights for the Spengler Cup from sports rights agency IMG.
The four tournaments will be broadcast live on Eurosport 2 across Europe and in Asia on Eurosport Asia Pacific from 26 December. The coverage will also feature post-game coverage and replays.
