AS Monaco agreed to become an ‘exceptional ambassador’ for the international organisation Peace and Sport that encourages the practice of sport as an instrument of peace and social stability.
The new AS Monaco shirt with the organisation’s logo was shown for the first time during a ceremony that took place in Monaco with an audience of over 300 decision-makers in politics, sport and business, on the occasion of the second International Forum Peace and Sport. The Peace and Sport logo will be displayed every other match on the AS Monaco FC shirt. The alternative logo is Fightaids Monaco.
“It’s an honour for AS Monaco FC to become a Peace and Sport Ambassador, under the Principality of Monaco’s banner,” said Jérôme de Bontin, President of AS Monaco. “This partnership brings strong values and is a witness to the unfailing commitment of a strong determination to make sport a genuine vector for reconciliation and fraternity. We are proud to unite our colours with those of Peace and Sport so that together, we can spread the message of sustainable peace throughout the world.”
Mr. de Bontin added that a Gala Match will take place every year in the Louis II Stadium for the benefit of Peace and Sport.
