Graham Chronographs signed a sponsorship deal with the Isle of Man TT races to become the official timing partner of the event.
The deal, brokered by TT commercial rights-holder Signature Sponsorship, will also see the Graham logo appearing on timing screens, digital trackside displays, circuit signage and podium branding.
Martyn Quayle, Minister of Tourism and Leisure of the Isle of Man government said: “It is highly appropriate that a sports event that relies so much on timing down to thousandths of a second should partner with Graham Chronographs, a prestigious brand whose watch design reflects the rugged nature and endurance of the TT.”
The deal makes Graham the seventh sponsor to commit to the TT Races since the beginning of the year joining Relentless Energy, Arai Helmets, Yamaha, Maxxis Tyres and Scottish Life International, the Isle of Man based international life assurance company.
It was also announced that after an absence of 16 years, Norton Motorcycles will enter a bike to the 2009 Isle of Man TT.
Michael Dunlop, son of the late motorcycle rider Robert Dunlop will pilot the Norton NRV 588 in the 37 ≤ mile circuit senior race. Norton Motorcycles UK’s manufacturing plan is based at Donington Park in Leicestershire and the company plans to make hand-built road-legal versions of the NRV 588 bike throughout 2009.
