Delegates at the Opening Ceremony of Soccerex 2008, the business conference for world football, will be welcomed by one of the most influential figures in South African football, Dr. Irvin Khoza.
Dr. Khoza is the Chairman of South Africa's 2010 World Cup Local Organising Committee, the Chairman of the South African Premier Soccer League, the vice president of the South African Football Association and the owner of the South African Premiership side, the Orlando Pirates.
He will be joined at the Opening Ceremony by the Premier of Gauteng, Paul Mashatile, and Soccerex Chairman Tony Martin. This address will follow a 2010 FIFA World Cup Update featuring Dr. Khoza’s colleague Dr. Danny Jordaan, CEO, as well as FIFA’s most senior representative, General Secretary Jérôme Valcke.
Soccerex 2008 will take place between 23-26 November, 2008 in Gauteng, South Africa.
