Organisers of the Legacy Lives 2009 event are in talks to secure a new host city, event partner and dates for the conference.
Following the recent announcement of the decision to cancel the Legacy Lives event in Vancouver scheduled for January 26–30 2009, organisers will be announcing the outcome of these discussions in the near future.
They say there has been a very positive and gratifying response from all over the world expressing support for the event, from would be delegates, speakers, sponsors and exhibitors.
“We do not intend to let all of these legacy stakeholders down and are working hard behind the scenes to ensure that Legacy Lives 2009 is as vibrant an event as in the two previous years,” organisers said in a statement. “Not going to Vancouver is obviously a disappointment but we look forward to bringing the event to this very special Olympic city in the years to come.”
