Swiss watch brand, Ebel, agreed a long-term sponsorship deal with Scottish football club, Rangers.

Under the deal, Ebel’s logo will be displayed on the new digital scoreboards and clock at Ibrox Stadium. In addition, the company have also designed a special, limited edition timepiece featuring a discreet Rangers insignia.

Rangers Chief Executive Martin Bain said: “International brands are now looking at football clubs that offer partnerships which go beyond local exposure. With Ebel, we have a company based in Switzerland with a global customer base; therefore they looked at Rangers appeal not only across the West of Scotland but also the United Kingdom, Europe, North America and the Middle East. Attached to this is a need for clubs to provide global brand owners with a more scientific approach to media evaluation and database segmentation”.

In a separate deal, soft drinks manufacturer, Coca-Cola, agreed to extend their long-running sponsorship for a further three years. Under the deal, Coca-Cola will remain the Rangers official drinks supplier whilst supporters will continue to benefit from a series of promotions and competitions.
