Several Olympic sports in the UK called on the government to improve London 2012's sporting legacy.
The calls came around a House of Commons debate on the London Olympics, which explored plans being made to involve more people in sport.
According to the BBC leaders from cycling and gymnastics said more needs to be done to increase participation and attract people to take up sports around the Games.
Brian Stocks, head of British Gymnastics called for extra capacity to cope with increased demand following the Games while Peter King CEO of British Cycling expressed the need to push a broad base of participation to ensure all facilities built for the Games will be used.
