The Tiger Woods-hosted AT&T National golf competition will move from Bethesda, Maryland to suburban Philadelphia in 2010 and 2011, Reuters reports.

According to the news agency, the Congressional Country Club, the current venue for the last two years, will stage the event again in 2009 before making way for Aronimink Golf Club.

In a statement to the press, Woods said: "Aronimink is an amazing course with a rich history in golf. We are thrilled to bring the AT&T National to the local Philadelphia community, knowing that fans can expect the same exciting golf that has quickly become a tournament tradition."

The AT&T National is the first event to be hosted by Woods on the PGA Tour and raises money for the Tiger Woods Foundation and pays tribute to men and women serving in the US armed forces.
