MP & Silva (MPS) acquired the exclusive media rights in Korea for France’s top-tier professional football league – Ligue 1 for two years from French media group, Canal Plus.
The deal includes terrestrial free-to-air television (FTA), satellite and cable television, Internet protocol television (IPTV), mobile television, mobile, and internet and broadband television and will cover two French Ligue seasons – 2008 to 2009 and 2009 to 2010.
In addition MPS will also distribute Ligue 1 news access and highlights to Korean terrestrial broadcaster in the territory.
