RFU agrees new sponsorship deal

Sportswear manufacturer, Adidas, has agreed a sponsorship deal with the Russian Football Union (RFU) until 2018.

Under the deal, which is estimated to be worth over €100 million, Adidas will supply all RFU national teams including the Olympic football team from this month.

Russia's national team will wear the new kit with the Adidas three-stripe logo for the first time against Wales on Wednesday in a World Cup qualifying match.
The contract marks the discontinuation of the RFU’s previous agreement with rival sportswear manufacturer, Nike.

Adidas already works with the football unions of Argentina, China, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Japan, Nigeria and Spain as well as the hosts of the 2010 World Cup, South Africa.
