Ivan will be joined by Joe Roth, one of the Founders of the new MLS team, Seattle Sounders FC, and Kevin Payne, Founder and President of one of its most successful teams, DC United. Both will give their insights into what it is like to start and run an MLS team and their key strategies for local and global partnerships.
Leaders in Football will also host a presentation by Scott O’Neil, who was recently promoted to President of Madison Square Gardens Sports. As the former Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the NBA, Scott oversaw the league’s team marketing and business operations, advising NBA and WNBA teams on ticket sales and service, sponsorship development, and marketing. Now Scott will oversee all aspects of business operations for the three sports teams, the New York Knicks, New York Rangers, and New York Liberty, as well as oversee sponsorship sales for the teams, Arena and all arena events.
Scott will be joined by Tom Glick former Chief Marketing Officer of the New Jersey Nets and currently CEO of Derby County FC. Tom is another expert when it comes to selling out a stadium and will combine a wealth of experience from US sport together with a clear understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing professional football.
