CBS agree 15-year deal for SEC rights

US television network, CBS, has agreed a 15-year extension with the Southeastern Conference (SEC) for the rights to broadcast SEC football and basketball games.

Under the deal, CBS will continue to cover SEC home football games including the SEC championship, as well as SEC regular-season basketball from the beginning of the 2009-10 season. CBS will also showcase each week's conference matchup with the SEC ‘Game of the Week’.

In addition to broadcast rights, CBS also acquired will certain digital, Internet, wireless, video-on-demand and enhanced highlight rights, for its Internet platform CBSSports.com. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
