USOC and the IOC have said that XL&H websites misleadingly claim to offer legitimate, official tickets to the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games and give consumers the false impression that the sites are somehow affiliated with the USOC, the IOC and the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games (BOCOG), as well as the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.
The USOC said it was contacted by several consumers who purchased tickets using one of the fraudulent websites, believing it to be a source of legitimate tickets to the 2008 Olympic Games. No tickets have been received by those consumers despite numerous phone calls and emails to the websites.
The primary websites that are subject to the lawsuits are found at www.beijingticketing.com and www.beijing-2008tickets.com.
