Under the deal, Setanta Sports will be available via Top Up TV’s digital television recorder set-top box alongside content from the Top Up TV Anytime Video on Demand and Picture Box movie subscription services.
Setanta has invested heavily in live and exclusive rights for a range of key sporting events, including the Barclays Premier League, the US PGA Tour and, from this season, the FA Cup, England international friendlies and World Cup qualifying games for England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
The start of the distribution deal is scheduled to coincide with the beginning of the 2008-09 Barclays Premier League.
