The new agreement covers all TV rights as well as new media and extends cooperation up to 2010.
"Since appointing IEC to distribute the event in 2005, we have seen live broadcast on five continents and over 20 broadcasters on board. This has paid dividends with our sponsors" said Stuart McDonnell, Tournament Manager.
"The ATP Thailand Open is extremely well organised and has been a favourite for both players, fans and media alike. We are delighted to extend our cooperation and enhance the international broadcast of the event." Said Jonas Persson, CEO of IEC in Sports.
IEC represents nine ATP and WTA tournaments in the Asia Pacific region, alongside the special tournaments, Hong Kong's JB Group Classic and Kooyong. IEC has a long term deal with the ATP China Open and also represents the ATP Japan Open since many years.
