Under the deal, Hydra will become the main sponsor for all NOC activates until after the Games. NOC Secretary General, Ebrahim Abdul Malek, said that they were currently in discussion to extend the agreement until the end of the London Olympics in 2012.
Speaking at a press conference Malek said: "We are very pleased to have a national company becoming partners with us and to contribute in developing sport in the country by this fruitful sponsorship.”
The Beijing Olympics will see UAE athletes compete in shooting, karate, athletics, swimming, judo, equestrian and sailing – the country’s largest number of participants to date.
