The Awards, organised by the European Sponsorship Association (ESA), are the only pan-European sponsorship awards celebrating excellence across all sectors - sport, culture, entertainment, media and corporate social responsibility.
Sponsors, rights holders and agencies are all invited to enter their most successful campaigns.
The categories for contention are: Business to Business, Business to Consumer, Business to Community, Business to Employee, and the coveted International Award – designed to recognise excellence in campaigns which have reached a minimum of three different countries, and which reflect activity based within at least one European market.
An independent panel of European industry experts will judge the entries, and winners will be announced at the Awards Ceremony in Brussels on Thursday 20th November, as part of ESA’s two-day flagship conference, Future Sponsorship.
The closing date is September 12, although late entries will be accepted until September 26, subject to a late entry fee.
ESA Chairman, Karen Earl commented, “ESA is committed to raising standards and promoting best practice. The Awards provide an opportunity for the industry to recognise and celebrate excellence from all corners of Europe, regardless of budget, sector or target audience.
“The short-listed campaigns will be promoted not only to industry leaders and peers at the Awards Ceremony, but also across European Media. The winning campaigns will receive the ultimate accolade of being the best in Europe.”
The 2007 Awards attracted a wealth of high quality entries. Beth Courtier, Head of BT's Charity Programme, the winner of last year’s Business to Community Award underlined the importance of winning, when she said:
“We were delighted to win the 2007 ESA Business to Community Award. What better way to underline the success of the campaign, than through independent endorsement, from a respected European body such as ESA.”
