SPORTCEL appointed agency for ‘Stanford Twenty20 for 20’

UK sports and event marketing consultancy SPORTCEL has been appointed by Stanford 20/20 cricket as exclusive marketing and commercial rights agency in the UK for the new Stanford 20/20 for 20 West Indies-England cricket series.

SPORTCEL organised the official launch of the new series at Lord’s cricket ground last on June 11, at which it was announced the first match in the series would take place on 1 November 2008, under floodlights at the Stanford Cricket Ground in Antigua.

“Following the enormous media interest during the launch, including live television coverage through a number of broadcasters including the BBC and SKY, the potential commercial opportunities for sponsors in the lead up to and during the event will be extensive – including a multi-million dollar UK outdoor advertising campaign,” said Rob Owen, SPORTCEL Director.
