Total Sports Asia appoint Suvrangsu Mukherjee as MD for India

Suvrangsu Mukherjee joined Total Sports & Entertainment India Pte Ltd (TSEIPL) a 100% subsidiary of Total Sports Asia (TSA) as Managing Director for the Indian subcontinent and will set up an additional office in New Delhi.

Mukherjee comes with a wealth of experience from his previous roles at IMG, Turner Broadcasting and Times of India.

Mukherjee added, “I’m very excited to join TSA and be a part of this fast growing regional player. I believe the role will provide me with new challenges to manage and grow an important business unit for TSA in one of the fastest growing markets in the world.”

TSA has been operating in India for the past 4 years under TSEIPL. It has been actively involved in media rights, sponsorship, events management including the Opening & Closing Ceremony of the recent World Military Games in Hyderabad.

TSA works with leading federations and rights holders from around the world including the media rights for the US Open tennis, BWF (Badminton World Federation) and FIFA World Champion Italy and Spain for the FIFA World Cup 2010 Qualification. TSA also works closely with major European football clubs including Manchester United and Arsenal and Formula 1 teams on sponsorship rights in Asia. TSA’s integrated marketing approach has seen it win significant consulting accounts like Telekom Malaysia.

Mukherjee will be based out of TSEIPL’s new office in New Delhi and will oversee the Mumbai office and all other operations in the region.
