Eurosport launches on Facebook

The Eurosport group launched an innovative Facebook application, to target the global Facebook community, available in five language versions: English, French, German, Spanish and Italian.

Eurosport initially launched a pilot version on the French Facebook platform on April 21. The application was a success and today has over 78,000 users.

Arnaud Maillard, Eurosport's Internet Director, said: “We are excited to increase our presence on the world’s largest social networking portal. The Eurosport online team focuses on exchange and interactiveness between the Eurosport platform and sports fans all over the world. We are constantly working on revamping our online offer, offering our users cutting-edge online products within the world of sports”.
