Red Bull Air Race launches YouTube channel

The Red Bull Air Race World Series has agreed a worldwide highlights deal with YouTube, the world’s most popular video-sharing platform.

Under the deal, YouTube will show behind-the scenes footage, interviews and commentary of the races.

Red Bull Air Race Head of TV and New Media Distribution, Kim Bernhard, said: “YouTube have built a name as a ‘first search’ destination resource for moving images for millions of Internet users. It is our aim with this channel to engage more users and extend our reputation as a provider of high quality moving images".

YouTube has around 20 million unique viewers each month. The 2007 World Series attracted a worldwide audience of 400 million.
