Belgian French-language public broadcaster, RTBF, has launched a high definition version of its main channel – La Une.
RTBF La Une HD will broadcast a number of major sports events in HD, including the upcoming Euro 2008 championships. The channel will only be available on a number of selected networks in the country including Belgacom TV.
In a related development, Belgian cable operator Telenet has announced that it has started to carry the new French HD channel TF1 HD as part of its HD bouquet.
