Diageo brands to partner British & Irish Lions Tour of South Africa

Under the deal, Guinness will become the Official Sponsor of the tour and Official Beer of the British & Irish Lions while Bushmills will be the Official Spirit.

John Feehan, Chief Executive of the British & Irish Lions, said: “We are delighted to renew our sponsorship with Diageo. Their longstanding association with our sport as their credentials will, without a doubt, contribute to make the tour to South Africa the biggest sporting event of 2009”.

The 2009 tour will take in 10 matches next year and includes three test matches against Rugby World Cup champions the Springboks. The tour begins on May 30.
