FSC executive chairman, Paul Yee, said: “We have received expressions of interest and the board will meet next week to award the naming rights”.
Yee said the council was on a sponsorship drive to help supplement income in the maintenance of the national sports complex.
“We have identified maintenance to be done at our facilities. We will need a lot of money to repair and up-keep the facilities. This is the national sports complex and we need to keep it in shape for the development of our sports,” he said.
The council also plans to improve its facilities to meet International Rugby Board regulations so that it can target the IRB 7s World Series and international rugby matches. It hopes that changes will be made before the end of the year.
