TOKYO 2016 adds two new sponsor

Tokyo 2016 added two new sponsors All Nippon Airways and the East Japan Railway Company to its official partners.

The addition of the two new sponsors means that TOKYO 2016 has now secured eight official partners with which it will collaborate to promote its bidding activities as well as the Olympic Movement. The other six partners are: Asics, Descente, Yahoo Japan, TBC Group, Otsuka Corporation and Japan Airlines.

All Nippon Airways (ANA) is one of the largest carriers in the Asia-Pacific region. It provides high-quality air service as a key member of the Star Alliance, which includes 20 airlines in the world and flies to 965 destinations across 162 countries. All Nippon Airways focuses on sponsoring sport activities.
ANA is an official partner of and the official airline partner of the Japanese Olympic Committee (JOC), supporting Japan's national team members who take part in international sporting events and helping to promote the Olympic Movement. It enjoys expansive partnerships in the sporting world, including sponsoring Ai Fukuhara, TOKYO 2016 Athlete Ambassador and a world-renown Olympian competing in table tennis.

East Japan Railway Company, the largest railway company in eastern Japan reaches all metropolitan areas. It was established in 1987, after a privatisation and dividing up of Japan National Railways. East Japan Railway Company has long contributed to the sporting movement in Japan East Japan Railway sponsors a professional football team in the top-ranked Japanese league, as well as various youth tournaments to promote the sports movement nationwide.
