BoscoSport becomes Fed Cup sponsor

BoscoSport agreed a deal with the International Tennis Federation to become an international sponsor of Fed Cup by BNP Paribas.

Under the deal, BoscoSport, a Russian sporting goods brand, will become the official clothing sponsor of Fed Cup by BNP Paribas, outfitting the linespeople and ballkids at all Fed Cup ties.

The deal starts with the semifinal round of the 2008 competition, to be played this weekend on 26-27 April. BoscoSport joins title sponsor BNP Paribas, international sponsor Rolex and international partner Wilson in the Fed Cup family of sponsors.

“With Russia’s enormous success in Fed Cup by BNP Paribas, it seems very appropriate that BoscoSport, another thriving Russian brand, should become an international sponsor,” said ITF President Francesco Ricci Bitti. “This is the first time that a Russian company has sponsored an ITF competition but certainly it won’t be the last and we look forward to many years of association with BoscoSport.”

“We are proud to join the ITF family of sponsors as an international sponsor of Fed Cup and to be the first ever Russian company to sponsor an ITF competition,” said Mikhail Kusnirovich, Chairman, Bosco di Ciliegi Group of Companies, “Many years of glorious Davis Cup and Fed Cup history gave tennis a unique level of popularity worldwide. As a big fan of tennis, I’m happy to take this opportunity and I’m confident that our partnership with ITF will be long lasting and successful.”
