Dmitry Chernyshenko, president of the Sochi 2014 Organising Committee said that his team is looking forward to working closely with the 14 members of the Commission.
"We look forward to updating the Commission members on our strong progress and learn from their inspiring mix of experience and knowledge, which will help us deliver the most innovative Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games in history,” said Chernyshenko. “Sochi 2014 is on schedule and within budget, with the Foundation Phase of construction for our mountain venues nearly complete. At least 27 construction projects will begin this year, with the remainder starting in 2009.”
The IOC Coordination Commission members will meet with Sochi 2014 Organising Committee members and key stakeholders involved in preparing for the 2014 Winter Games and tour the proposed sites.
