FOX Sports to show Australian test matches

Australian sports network, FOX Sports, agreed a deal with Indian sports marketing agency, Nimbus Sport International, for the rights to show exclusive live coverage of Australia’s four Test matches during their tour of India in October 2008.

FOX Sports CEO, David Malone, said: ”In securing the broadcast rights to this series, Fox Sports continues its long tradition of providing Australian viewers with the opportunity to watch the Australian cricket team on tour. Over the past 10 years Fox Sports has been the only place to see the Australian cricket team compete overseas, other than in World Cups or The Ashes”.

Nimbus acquired the global media rights to India’s home matches from the Board of Control for Cricket in India in 2006 for four years until March 2010. During this term the Australian cricket team will tour India for the above Test series in October 2008, and once more for a 7ODI series in October 2009.
