Under the deal, Van Wanger Sports will serve as the US Figure Skating’s sponsorship and media sales agency, assisting with the sale of its NBC television media, event entertainment, in-area and on-air signage, grassroots programs and icenetwork.com broadband assets. The agreement will also see both partners to work on the development of future assets.
David Raith, executive director of US Figure Skating, said: “Through the review process, it became clear that partnering with Van Wagner will provide US Figure Skating the expertise and resources of a large company with the attention to detail and focus on figure skating you would expect to find only in a smaller firm”.
US Figure Skating and Van Wagner Sports and Entertainment are currently engaged with several potential sponsors and will be exploring new partner opportunities in the coming months.
