“We are delighted to have obtained yet another big-name partner with the co-hosts of the European Championships,” said Kentaro CEO Philipp Grothe. “We will play our part in ensuring that Austrian football remains in the public eye even after Euro 2008.”
A headline clash with 2006 World Cup runners-up France in Austria this September will herald the beginning of the deal which runs from July 1, 2008 until December 31, 2009.
Serbia, Romania, Lithuania and the Faroe Islands are the other opponents standing between Austria and a place in the 2010 World Cup. “Our media rights are in the most capable of hands with Kentaro,” said ÖFB General Secretary Alfred Ludwig. “We are looking forward to this cooperation.”
