Under the deal, the tournament will be known as the Edelweiss 20's Challenge and will run from the March 9 to April 7 and be held in Hyderbad, Chandigarh and Gurgaon.
Kapil Dev, ICL chairman of the executive board, said: “Edelweiss’ association with the ICL is a support to young domestic Indian players who have been provided with an international standard platform to display their cricketing talent. This support will be a sure step in strengthening cricket in the country”.
Since last year, the ICL has added two more teams and increased the number of matches from 20 to 34, in a bid to make the event more competitive.
