Leaders From European sport to address Winning Beyond 2012 Conference

Christian Milz, Director General of European Athletics and Etienne Thobois, CEO of France 2007 Rugby World Cup Organising Committee are amongst the latest high profile names from European Sport to commit to speaking at the prestigious UKT&I conference, Winning Beyond 2012 on 1st April 2008 in Manchester.

Milz and Thobois will also be joined by Gernot Leitner, CEO of Salzburg 2014. Together they will present case studies relevant to British suppliers including how procurement for suppliers is managed, how to develop long-term business partnerships and how British suppliers need to start immediately leveraging the global reputation presented by London 2012. Presentations will be followed by a 25 minute Q&A session where the speakers will answer questions from the floor relating specifically to how British suppliers are perceived and what opportunities exist outside the Olympic Games.

Milz said: "The London 2012 Olympics presents Britain with unprecedented opportunities, from a sporting, business and tourism point of view. As soon as the Beijing Olympics close in August, worldwide attention will switch its focus to London for the next four years and it is important that all relevant stakeholders are ready and prepared to capitalise on these opportunities."

"My topic will obviously be about European Athletics, its vision, its strategy and about the benefits of European co-operation and the potential for business between countries."
