Sela Sport secures sponsorship of Saudi Arabian national football teams

Sela Sport agreed a new $40million deal that will see the company become the exclusive Official Saudi Arabian Teams Sponsor.

The four-year deal kicks off with the Saudi national football team’s bid to qualify for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, and runs until 2011. The deal also includes the Saudi Under 21s team and all youth teams.

The deal includes branding on all training kit, media interview backdrop boards, significant advertising signage at all home and away games and training sessions and also ticket and broadcast sponsorship rights.

Sela Sport also has the right to use the official "logo" on its advertising and promotions and will benefit from access to Saudi player images and other personality rights.

This sponsorship was the result of very long and scientific study, and the national team will benefit from it, in so many ways, especially in playing against very strong team of the world in FIFA days. and it’s a great way to promote our national team to a new level.

Football has played a key element in Sela Sport’s brand strategy since 1997 and the new deal with the GPYW represents a significant achievement in the renegotiation of the previous sponsorship deal, observes Ahmed Mohtaseb CEOof Sela Sport.

The new deal will bring $40 m to SAFF that will be used to improve the quality of football in Saudi Arabia, and by all means signify the largest of its kind in the Arab world and the Middle East.
