IEC and now PR Event both now form part of the French conglomerate Lagadère.
IEC in Sports represents around 250 sports events around the world. In Sweden, that includes the DN Gala and the Catella Swedish Open. It has worked closely with PR Events since 2000. The two companies will work together to develop the Catella Swedish Open further as well as create new interesting sporting events in Scandinavia, said, Jonas Persson MD in IEC in Sports.
“The deal makes us more financial competitive. This is necessary to strengthen our position in the tennis world as well as to make it possible to develop new events, first and foremost within tennis and in Båstad,” said Thomas Wallén partner, together with Christer Hult in PR Event.
“Through incorporating first IEC in Sports, and now PR Event in our fast expanding group, we obtain a strong position within Scandinavia with two extremely capable companies, whose synergies provide great growth potential,” said Stéphane Schindler CEO Lagardère sports.
