Under the rules set out by the league the nine bidders will now have to enter concrete financial bids by January 31.
The Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP) said each package of rights attracted at least two bids and certain packages were the subject of five bids.
Before placing their financial offers, the candidates will be invited in to see the league on January 25,28 and 29.
Last Friday the court of appeal in Paris rejected French pay-broadcaster Canal Plus’s bid to suspend the league’s TV rights tender.
