Under the deal, BMW's Formula 1 Team will partner with T-Systems to develop and test new ICT solutions ‘under the extreme conditions of Formula 1’.
"The expansion of our cooperation with BMW marks an important milestone in attaining our goal, which is to become number one in this market at an
international level," said Reinhard Clemens, Deutsche Telekom board member responsible for Business Customers and CEO of T-Systems.
T-Systems has already set up a high-performance data connection for the racing team. Additional joint research and development projects are planned in the area of data security and the logging of operating times to optimise the service life of car parts.
