Puma sponsors African Cup of Nations coverage

Sportswear retailer Puma has agreed to sponsor pan-European sport channel Eurosport's live television coverage of the African Cup of Nations football tournament. 

The deal, which was brokered by media agency ZenithOptimedia, will be used by Puma to promote it's new v1.08 football boot.

Jacques Raynaud, vice chairman of Eurosport, said: “We are delighted that Puma will be associating its new product and brand with Eurosport’s comprehensive coverage of the African Cup of Nations. It is now a leading event in the global sporting calendar and will provide a strong environment to Puma to reach young, passionate football fans.”

The campaign will run throughout the duration of the tournament which runs from 20 January until 10 February and cover all 32 matches.
