brandRapport acquired by QobliQ

brandRapport Limited, the UK-based independent sponsorship agency, has been acquired by QobliQ, a new marketing services company funded by Ingenious Media Active Capital Limited (IMAC).

IMAC has invested £7.5 million in QobliQ, which was formed with the aim of creating 'a leading international innovative marketing services group, combining sponsorship, digital and experiential marketing to provide brands with an integrated innovative marketing solution'.

The management team of QobliQ is led by Xavier Quattrocchi-Oubradous and Roland Giscard d’Estaing, who founded Sponsorclick France SARL, a Paris-based sponsorship consultancy, and who both have backgrounds in M&A and investment banking.

“brandRapport is going to be the cornerstone in our plan to build QobliQ as an international innovative marketing services group," said Patrick Bradley, director of Ingenious Ventures, Manager of IMAC. "We are delighted to have the company join us in QobliQ as they are leaders in the sponsorship market - a sector with double digit growth. Sponsorship marketing has the ability to deliver high return on investment for brands which are facing increasing media fragmentation, and it requires strong and subtle expertise. brandRapport has a unique track record and credibility in that area, and we have already started to work with Andrew and his team to leverage it.”

Bought for a mixture of cash and equity, brandRapport was originally formed in 1982 as Craigie Taylor International Limited, which then became GEM in 2002 following its acquisition by CSS Stellar PLC. Management led the buy-out of GEM in October 2005, and re-launched the Company as brandRapport in 2006.
