The Government of Canada, the Province of British Columbia and the Resort Municipality of Whistler will all celebrate the end of construction on Whistler's three competition venues.
VANOC says it still has work to do on the sliding, Nordic and downhill venues before the 2010 Winter Olympics, primarily on spectator facilities. But the actual sporting venues are now finished and will be tested throughout the winter
According to VANOC’s venue development budget, the cost of the three facilities are as follows: the Whistler Sliding Centre ($104m), the Whistler Nordic Competition Venue ($119m), and Whistler Alpine ($27m).
