The Japanese Islands Golf Tour Organisation and the PGA Tour of Australasia are reported to have signed a memoranda of understanding to create a OneAsia Tour.
The plans could see tournaments from India to New Zealand and the circuit may be formed as early as 2009. The two bodies are understood to now be talking with the Asian Tour and golf administrators in China, South Korea, Thailand and India about signing up to the new circuit.
Under the plans, the OneAsia Tour would eventually comprise 40 events.
