Under the deal, Samsung said it will be able to place logos and mascots of the 2008 Paralympic Games on its products during the Paralympic Games.
"We wish to be a help for those confronted with adversity by joining the sports event involving not just 90 million disabled people in China but also others worldwide," Park Keun-hee, head of Samsung’s China operation, said during a signing ceremony held in Beijing.
The deal follows Samsung’s contract to support the Paralympics held after the 2006 Turin Winter Olympic Games. Since 2006, the company has also sponsored the International Paralympic Committee, the governing body for the competition.
