The European Handball Federation’s event takes place from January 17-27, 2008 in Norway.
The deal marks the first time that Henkel has been involved with a European Handball Championship. Henkel will get a strong presence during the event through perimeter advertising, product promotion and branding on referees’ shirts – the first time this has been permitted in the history of the event.
The deal was brokered by Infront Sports & Media. Stephan Herth, Executive Director Summer Sports of Infront, said: “This agreement is important for Infront, as part of our on-going objective to continually raise the marketing profile of the EHF property and to further develop long-term relationships with top consumer brands like Henkel. We are confident that the agreement will deliver great value to both partners and Infront will help activate the sponsorship the best way possible.”
