As head of financial matters at the Catalan side, Soriano has spearheaded a
recent revival off the pitch, making the club profitable and helping to reduce
their debt.
Following a keynote speech from Keith Harris, Chairman of investment bank
Seymour Pierce, Soriano will join a panel debating issues surrounding both
the ownership of football clubs and how best to develop and market clubs
throughout the globe.
The afternoon session will discuss some of the game’s major topics on the
field. Sir Alex Ferguson, Sam Allardyce, Alan Curbishley and Lawrie Sanchez
will be part of a panel focusing on how best to maximize talent, with leading
American sports figure Billy Beane offering a different perspective.
The ‘Future of Football’ Conference is set to be a landmark event, shaping
the debate both on and off the pitch.
