The Qatar National Olympic Committee (QNOC) agreed a deal with Qatar National Bank (QNB), for the bank to sponsor the four major sport championships in the country - Football, Basketball, Handball, and Volleyball for the 2007-2008 season.
Under the deal, QNB also becomes exclusive sponsor of the Emir Cup, and the Heir Apparent Cup.
The contract was signed for the second year in a row, by Sheikh Saoud bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani, Secretary General of QNOC and Ali Shareef Al Emadi, Group Chief Executive, QNB.
Sheikh Saoud bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani, praised the role played by QNB and its management in supporting local sports by extending its sponsorship for QNOC’s activities.
